The Historic City Center

9:30 a.m. on Fridays from November 2, 2018 through April 2019

$25 per person, 14 person maximum per tour, 75-90 minutes, includes free admission to Palm Springs Art Museum and A+D Center

Tour begins at the Palm Springs Art Museum, at the bottom of the Museum stairs, 101 Museum Drive.

Join  us for  a 1/2-mile stroll between two of Palm Springs's most iconic Desert Modern destinations: the Palm Springs Art Museum and the Architecture and Design Center, both envisioned by E. Stewart Williams, one of the desert's most prolific and well-known architects. This tour captures the essence of Palm Springs, from its early roots in the late 1800s to the midcentury modern craze and the 21st century vibe that's part of our culture today.  From our fabled pioneers, imaginative architects and 3 powerful women who helped start it all, you'll be fascinated by our  ever-changing glamorous resort that continues to be populated by artists, movie stars, wealthy business titans, the Aqua Caliente Indians and LA hipsters.

Midcentury Modern Icons of Fashion and Finance

9:30 a.m. on Saturdays from November 2, 2018 through April 2019

$25 per person, 14 person maximum per tour, 75-90 minutes, includes free admission to Palm Springs Art Museum and A+D Center

Tour begins at Union Bank, on the SE corner of Indian Canyon Drive and Ramon Road.

See the very best examples of midcentury modern architecture as we walk along the town's main thoroughfare for banking and retail businesses. Learn how this stark yet beautiful landscape captured the imagination of a young and talented group of Desert Modern architects -- the movers and shakers who shaped Palm Springs during the post-World War II boom and who created a body of internationally-recognized work during the heyday of the 1950s and '60s. These buildings continue to draw people to Palm Springs from all over the world to admire and appreciate their innovative designs in our unique desert setting.
