Palm Springs Art Museum's Docent Council is made up of generous volunteers. Docents are critical to the appreciation of our museum by the viewing public.
Palm Springs Art Museum offers a variety of Docent guided tours highlighting the museum’s permanent collection and special exhibitions.
General tours at Palm Springs Art Museum
One hour tours of the Permanent Collection are offered free with museum admission. Visitors will have a general tour of the collection excluding special exhibitions. Please meet at the Admission Desk to begin your tour.
Daily except Wednesdays - 2pm
Thursday "Ask Me!" - 4-8 p.m.
Exhibition tours at Palm Springs Art Museum
One hour tours of the current exhibition. Included with admission. Please meet at the Admission Desk to begin your tour
Palm Springs Art Museum Architecture and Design Center, Edwards Harris Pavilion
One hour tours of the current exhibition and admission are free with museum admission. Visitors will have an in-depth tour of the exhibition. Please meet at the Admission Desk to begin your tour. (Schedule subject to change without notice.)
Sunday: 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., Monday: 1 p.m., Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday: 10 a.m., 11 a.m., and 1 p.m.
Thursday: 1 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.

Tours of the Faye Sarkowsky Sculpture Garden - Wednesdays: 10 a.m.
Tours of the Journey Through the Desert - The Road Less Traveled exhibition, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday: 2 p.m.
Docent-led group tours may be arranged by completing the tour request form. Due to the heavy demand for docent-led tours and the limitations of space and docents, we encourage you to schedule your tours as early as possible. Please give at least a two week advance notice. Group rates for admission are available for groups with 12 or more.
