Lita Albuquerque: Cosmic Land

Bringing together artwork from nearly six decades, presenting some of the artist’s paintings, sculptures, installations, and films together for the first time.

Expanding the boundaries of the Light and Space and Land Art movements, Albuquerque connects the California desert with the cosmos. From night skies that could never be seen simultaneously to pigment and sacred geometry on the Earth’s surface, the exhibition explores her distinctive approach to light, space, and the place of the human being in the cosmos.
