On the first Free Thursday Night of September, the museum will offer a lively sketch night with drop-in art activities, a bar, and live DJ performances.

From 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., enjoy free admission to our galleries and exhibitions, and explore our collection at your own pace.

Join us for a playful still life drawing activity open to artists of all skill levels.

Take inspiration from a lush, overflowing floral arrangement and explore composition, movement, color, and mark-making. With dramatic stems, expressive shapes, and bold colors to observe, the bouquet offers endless possibilities for creative interpretation.

All materials are provided, and no prior drawing experience is necessary. Drop in, experiment, and discover the magic of bringing a still life to life on paper.

Rick Chavez

Rick Chavez is a vinyl and digital DJ from Los Angeles and Orange County, now based in the Coachella Valley.

A longtime lover of disco, boogie, synth-pop, new wave, and house, Rick has been spinning records since the 1980s and returned to the turntables in 2022 as a member of the Desert Vinyl Club.

For his PSAM set, Rick will showcase a beloved collection of disco records, bringing decades of dance-floor experience and a passion for music that brings people together.
