Part of the museum's Curated Places: Inside the Home series, this evening at the Grace Miller House invites guests into one of Palm Springs' most architecturally significant private residences for an intimate evening of design, conversation, and hospitality.
Hosted by homeowner Catherine Meyler, the evening offers a unique opportunity to experience noted architect Richard Neutra's first desert commission through personal stories, architectural insight, and a deeper exploration of its history and legacy within the Coachella Valley.
The evening begins with cocktails, lite bites, and a guided conversation with Catherine Meyler and PSAM Executive Director, Christine Vendredi, followed by dessert poolside.
Blending architecture, storytelling, and shared experience, the gathering reflects the spirit of Curated Places: creating meaningful moments of connection through art, architecture, and design.
1937
Taken circa 1937, this image represents the first professional assignment of the legendary architectural photographer Julius Shulman. The woman seated inside reading a book is the home’s owner, Grace Lewis Miller.
2026
Nearly ninety years later, the same room still frames the desert beyond its glass walls. Now home to Catherine Meyler, the residence remains a living example of Richard Neutra's vision, preserved, lived in, and quietly unchanged.
