The Dance Platform Gala Presented by Nickerson Rossi Dance

The Dance Platform Gala is the culminating performance of The Dance Platform, an evening of bold, forward-thinking dance that brings together emerging voices and established artists on one stage. This final concert features the top three choreographic works selected from The Dance Platform Informal Showcase at the Nickerson-Rossi Dance House. Chosen works are elevated from studio presentation to the stage of Palm Springs Art Museum Annenberg Theater in this culminating performance.

The program is presented alongside performances by the Nickerson-Rossi Dance professional company and the organization’s Pre-Professional Program, creating a dynamic evening that bridges emerging artistry with professional excellence. The performance offers a wide range of work, from new choreographic perspectives to refined repertor, creating a layered experience that reflects both the future and the foundation of dance.

At the center of the evening is a commitment to artistic excellence and discovery. The three selected choreographers are recognized through The Dance Platform Awards, which include scholarships to the NRD Apprenticeship Summer Intensive, professional recognition, and, for the top award, a commissioned choreographic opportunity with the Nickerson-Rossi Dance Company.
