THIS MONTH'S PROGRAM
Wearble Art Workshop with Adan
Learn how to create your own themed character inspired by Fatherakki' signature style and bring it to life on clothes. Perfect for anyone who loves creating unique, wearable art! Bring your imagination and creative eye! A limited number of T-shirts will be provided while supplies last, or you're welcome to bring your own T-shirt or other clothing items to personalize.
Create your own Tecuani Art Doll with Maribel Reveles
Tecuani is a Náhuatl word meaning tiger or jaguar. Inspired by the strength, beauty, and spirit of this powerful animal, this hands-on workshop invites participants to explore creativity through fabric, color, and pattern. In this workshop, participants will learn how to cut and work with fabric patterns to create their very own Tecuani art doll. From selecting colors and fabrics to assembling and adding the finishing touches, you’ll be guided through the process of bringing your unique piece to life.
Shadow Box Making with Jacqueline
This is a hands-on shadow box workshop inspired by the textures, imagination and storytelling at the heart of lowrider culture. Participants build their own illuminated miniature dream box using collage, faux fur, lace and custom imagery drawing from the world of cruising, custom interiors, and southern California nostalgia.
