Join us every third Sunday of the month for Family+, a fun and free event for everyone! The museum is transformed into a creative hub where artists, makers, and musicians come together to offer a variety of exciting activities and workshops for kids, teens, and families+.
THIS MONTH'S PROGRAM
Ceramics with Frank Lemus
Experience coil building using clay to make your own pot. No experience needed, we will have step-by-step instructions for rolling, stacking, and smoothing. Coil building is a basic technique that you can use to create beautiful forms.
Sashiko Notecard Sewing with Clair Case
Participants will create hand-sewn notecards adorned with a sashiko pattern. Sashiko means “little stab” or “little pierce” and is a type of traditional Japanese embroidery or stitching used for the decorative and/or functional reinforcement of cloth and clothing. Typically, Sashiko is created using white cotton thread and indigo-dyed blue cloth.
Watercolor Paintings with Marion Costanza
Learn watercolor painting techniques with artist Marion Costanza, who creates stunning and whimsical tarot decks with vibrant colors and designs. All levels are welcome.

Cerámica con Frank Lemus
Experimenta la construcción de espirales con arcilla para crear tu propia maceta. No se necesita experiencia, te daremos instrucciones paso a paso para enrollar, apilar y alisar. La construcción de espirales es una técnica básica con la que puedes crear hermosas formas.
Costura de tarjetas de notas Sashiko con Clair Case
Los participantes crearán tarjetas de notas cosidas a mano, adornadas con un patrón sashiko. Sashiko significa "pequeña puñalada" o "pequeña perforación" y es un tipo de bordado o costura tradicional japonesa que se utiliza para el refuerzo decorativo y/o funcional de telas y prendas. Normalmente, el sashiko se crea con hilo de algodón blanco y tela azul teñida con índigo.
