THIS MONTH'S PROGRAM
Piñata Making with Mr. B Baby
Join Mr. Baby in recreating her iconic character, Chucho, a piñata inspired figure whose cracks bloom into flowers, symbolizing strength through softness and transformation through adversity. In this hands-on workshop, participants will learn the craft of traditional piñata making while exploring themes of resilience, healing, and creative expression. Leave with your own handcrafted creation and a deeper appreciation for the storytelling power of this vibrant art form.
Felt Wallet Making with Sew Loka
Participants will create a small felt wallet from scratch using a needle, felt, thread, and a button. A fun and hands-on introduction to hand sewing that works beautifully for all ages and abilities!
Drawing Beyond Arms
Explore drawing in a new way by using a long stick with a marker attached to the end to create large-scale drawings on the floor. This activity encourages participants to experiment with movement, balance, and mark-making as they let their whole body guide the drawing process. By changing the way we normally hold and control a drawing tool, participants can discover unexpected lines, gestures, and patterns while thinking about the relationship between the body, space, and creative expression.
