Step into the night for Q+ After Dark: EUPHORIA, a radiant celebration of art, identity, and community at Palm Springs Art Museum.
For one unforgettable evening, the museum transforms into an after-hours world of rhythm, light, and creativity, all in support of the Q+ Art Initiative, which funds exhibitions and programs that amplify the voices of LGBTQ+ artists.
Dance to the sounds of Shaun J. Wright and experience the visionary work of Nick Cave, joining us as guest of honor and recipient of the 2025 Q+ Art Award. The evening will feature a special screening of his short film, Drive-By.
Together, we’ll raise essential support for a more inclusive and expressive future through art. Every ticket directly fuels the Q+ Art Initiative.
Space is limited — reserve your spot early and join us for a euphoric night where art and identity shine brightest.
About Nick Cave
Nick Cave (b. 1959, Fulton, MO; lives and works in Chicago, IL) is an artist, educator, and messenger whose multidisciplinary work spans sculpture, installation, video, sound, and performance. He is best known for his Soundsuits—vibrant, full-body sculptural forms created in response to the 1991 police beating of Rodney King. These works conceal race, gender, and class, inviting viewers to look without judgment and serving as powerful symbols of resilience, empowerment, and social justice.
Through his art, Cave transforms found materials into deeply affecting meditations on trauma, identity, and renewal. His practice challenges us to see beauty and hope even amid violence and loss, asking how creativity can foster empathy, unity, and change.
About Shaun J. Wright
Born and raised in suburban Chicago, Shaun J. Wright grew up immersed in the city’s house music scene, which shaped their passion for dance music. While at Morehouse College in Atlanta, Wright honed their skills in vogue ballroom and professional dance companies. After earning an MA in Fashion Curation from the London College of Fashion, they pursued a fashion career in New York City, where they met Andrew Butler of Hercules & Love Affair, joining the ensemble as a vocalist and touring internationally.
Returning to Chicago in 2012, Wright launched their solo career and party brand Twirl, collaborating with DJ/producer Alinka and releasing critically acclaimed EPs on Classic Music Company and Twirl Records. Their work has received support from DJ Mag, Mixmag, BBC Radio 1, and many others. Wright continues to collaborate with notable producers and releases on respected labels worldwide, thrilling dance floors from Panorama Bar in Berlin to Smart Bar in Chicago, blending live vocals into dynamic DJ sets.
