Meet our Altar Artists:

This year, Palm Springs Art Museum is bringing in 4 talented artists to create altar installations for our Dia de los Muertos event. Together they will create meaningful memory attributions through symbolic objects, and visuals that blend tradition through contemporary art.

Perry Picasshoe

A Mexican American artist and designer from Riverside. Perry’s work often explores their Queer Latinx identity and experiences with bipolar disorder.

Yehsiming Jue

A painter and illustrator from the Coachella Valley. Jue’s work depicts the inner workings of the body, as well as seeing beauty in the exterior display of the flesh.

Jacqueline Valenzuela

A Chicana interdisciplinary artist from Los Angeles. Her art reflects the Chicano world of lowriding. Often highlighting the deep roots, she planted in the underrepresented culture.
