Part of the museum's Curated Places: The Collector's Table series, this evening invites guests into the historic Krisel-designed Sandpiper residence of Barbara and Bernie Cain in Palm Desert for an intimate evening.

Set within one of the Coachella Valley’s most significant examples of midcentury residential design, the gathering explores the work and creative perspective of artist Phillip K. Smith III through a personal lens of Barbara and Bernie, shaped by collecting, living with art, and the relationship between space, light, and environment.

The evening features a conversation with Barbara and Bernie Cain, Phillip K Smith II, and Christine Vendredi, complemented by an elevated dining experience.

Blending design, storytelling, and hospitality, the evening reflects the spirit of The Collector’s Table: creating meaningful dialogue and connection through shared experiences with art and place.

Hosted by Barbara & Bernie Cain.
