Found Objects and Objects in Art explores the many ways objects have shaped artistic creation over the last two centuries.

Found objects are natural or manufactured items repurposed as art materials, challenging traditional definitions of art by transforming the everyday, discarded, or overlooked into aesthetic and conceptual statements. Objects have also long served as sources of inspiration, appearing in works of art as subjects and carriers of symbolic meaning.

Each gallery explores a different approach to working with or representing objects, moving through distinct worlds of home and the familiar, childhood and toys, and the machines and vehicles that have shaped modern life. Bringing together works across disciplines, including architecture and glass, the exhibition considers the conceptual, material, and spatial dimensions of artmaking.
