Fashioning Architecture explores the connections between architecture, design, and fashion during a focal moment in the fashion world: the fashion show. In revealing a designer’s collection, the fashion show has its rituals and its customary expectations for the backstage, the runway, and seating arrangements for spectators.
Through videos, photos, and the voices of the people involved in the fashion world, Fashioning Architecture explores the interests of fashion houses and their designers for architecture as a powerful accessory in mounting a fashion show--this unique moment, which lasts for less than half an hour, but which sets the stage for the appreciation and understanding of a collection.
