The museum began in a small building in the center of Palm Springs in 1938, when the central focus was natural science. Today, the main museum resides in a stunning Modernist architectural landmark and is the home to a unique, world-class collection of modern and contemporary art and features various lectures and performances in the Annenberg Theater.
