Join us for an intimate conversation with contemporary artist and jeweler Georgina Treviño, followed by a meet and greet. This free talk is open to all and takes place ahead of the day's workshops.
Born in Tijuana and based in San Diego, Treviño earned a BA in Jewelry and Metalsmithing from San Diego State University. Her boundary-pushing work has shown internationally, from Schmuck in Munich to New York Jewelry Week, and lives in the permanent collections of the Museum of Arts and Design in New York and the Racine Art Museum. She has created custom pieces for artists including Beyoncé, Bad Bunny, Rosalía, and Doja Cat, alongside collaborations with Nike, Fenty, and Spotify.
In this talk, Treviño shares the story behind her practice and what it means to make jewelry at the intersection of art, identity, and culture. Stay afterward to meet the artist before the workshops begin.
