Be among the first to experience the Palm Springs family residence of William F. Cody, the influential desert modern architect who worked in our community during the peak of the modern architecture movement.
This exclusive cocktail reception and preview of curated international collective design and California light and space art will be led by Peter Blake, a leading exhibitor of west coast minimalism, and Brad Dunning, guest curator of Palm Springs Art Museum's Albert Frey: Innovative Modernist. The comprehensive exhibition on the life and work of the celebrated architect will open in January 2024; funds raised from this event will directly benefit the exhibition.
The homeowners and designers known as NOMOS RED as well as Keith Markovitz of TTK are generously making this opportunity possible because of their commitment to art and architecture.
The visit will feature noted Light and Space artists such as Lita Albuquerque, Peter Alexander, Larry Bell, Gisela Colon, Helen Pashgian, Phillip K. Smith lll, James Turrell, and DeWain Valentine, among others. Design is represented by important works by Antoine Philippon & Jacqueline Lecoq, Afra and Tobia Scarpa, Angelo Mangiarotti, Vladimir Kagan, Gio Ponti, Joe Colombo, Carlo Mollino, Pierre Chapo, Marco Zanuso, and others.
