Stanley Clarke and N•4EVER

Legendary bassist Stanley Clarke and his dynamic ensemble N 4•Ever ignite the stage with genre-defying energy and virtuosity.

About Stanley Clarke

NEA Jazz Master and four-time Grammy Award Winner Stanley Clarke has attained “living legend” status during his over 50-year career as a bass virtuoso.

He is the first bassist in history who doubles on acoustic and electric bass with equal ferocity and the first jazz-fusion bassist ever to headline tours, selling out shows worldwide. His extensive recording credits range from Dexter Gordon, Stan Getz and McCoy Tyner to John McLaughlin, Jeff Beck, Paul McCartney and Keith Richards. And he has made over 50 albums as a leader or co-leader, including the Clarke/Duke Project (with George Duke) and the seminal fusion group Return to Forever, which he co-founded with Chick Corea and Lenny White.

Clarke continues to redefine jazz fusion with his dynamic band of young virtuosos, N•4EVER. Combining fierce improvisation with a powerful blend of jazz, rock, funk, R&B, and hip-hop, "the baddest bassist on the planet" (All About Jazz) and his band ignite the stage with stunning musical chemistry, creating "mind-blowing" performances where the legendary bassist guides his youthful crew through a thrilling celebration of his groundbreaking legacy.

This symbiotic relationship between a seasoned veteran and the next generation of players is what makes N•4EVER a constantly evolving, cutting-edge force in the jazz fusion world.

“A little over 50 years since his solo debut, Clarke reminds the audience that there are still new ways to be dazzled by the innovative and solid fullness of his instrument.”
