Join us this summer for Art Nights at the museum.

On the first Free Thursday Night of July and August, the museum will offer lively art nights with drop-in art activities, a bar, and live DJ performances to beat the summer heat.

Bring your friends and come create with us!

Sketching

Drop in and join us for a fun, low pressure sketching activity designed for all skill levels. Using a still life setup, you'll create a series of three quick drawings: a 2-minute sketch, a 5-minute sketch, and an 8-minute sketch. As the time increases, you'll have the chance to slow down, notice new details, and build on your drawing skills.

All materials are provided, and no prior drawing experience is necessary. Whether you're picking up a pencil for the first time or looking to sharpen your skills, this playful exercise is a great way to experiment with mark making in a museum setting.

Come sketch, and see how much a drawing can evolve in just a few minutes!

About Partida @p.a.r.t.i.d.a

Al Partida is a selector who was born and raised in the Coachella Valley. Much of their taste has been shaped by the soundtrack of their youth paired with heavy international grooves and timeless samples. Queerness and liberation runs through their selections whether it be a soulful glimpse into the late 70s or present day pumpers. Genres range from but are not limited to Disco, Funk, Boogie, and Electronica. Partida aims to share rare gems and club classics in hopes of connecting with their community through movement and sound
