Ashley Holland will focus on Clarke’s use of language and contextualize his practice within Native and contemporary art. She is a contributor to the forthcoming Gerald Clarke: Falling Rock publication.

Holland, a citizen of the Cherokee Nation, serves as the assistant curator for the Art Bridges Foundation. In addition to her curatorial work, she is a doctoral candidate in Native American Art History at the University of Oklahoma, Norman. Her dissertation focuses on issues of identity, cultural memory, diaspora, and Cherokee contemporary art.
