Join us every third Sunday of the month for Family+, a fun and free event for everyone! The museum is transformed into a creative hub where artists, makers, and musicians come together to offer a variety of exciting activities and workshops for kids, teens, and families+.

THIS MONTH'S PROGRAM

Let your creativity flow in the museum atrium and make some keychains or jewelry. This self-paced self self-guided activity is great for all ages. Follow patterns presented by museum educators or create your own designs.

Ceramics with Frank Lemus

Experience coil building using clay to make your own pot. No experience needed, we will have step-by-step instructions for rolling, stacking, and smoothing. Coil building is a basic technique that you can use to create beautiful forms.

Sashiko Notecard Sewing with Clair Case

Participants will create hand-sewn notecards adorned with a sashiko pattern. Sashiko means “little stab” or “little pierce” and is a type of traditional Japanese embroidery or stitching used for the decorative and/or functional reinforcement of cloth and clothing. Typically, Sashiko is created using white cotton thread and indigo-dyed blue cloth.

Watercolor Paintings with Marion Costanza

Learn watercolor painting techniques with artist Marion Costanza, who creates stunning and whimsical tarot decks with vibrant colors and designs. All levels are welcome.
