Can I bring backpacks or oversized bags?

At this time, we are unable to accommodate backpacks or oversized bags within the museum premises. We kindly ask visitors to leave these items at home or in their vehicles.

Can I request a wheelchair or bring my own for accessibility at the museum?

Palm Springs Art Museum has several wheelchairs available for visitors and all galleries are accessible by wheelchair. To request a wheelchair, please inform one of our admission associates that you will need a wheelchair and one will be delivered to you shortly.

What items are forbidden in exhibition areas?

Please refrain from bringing food, drinks (including bottled water), laser pointers, ink pens, markers, or umbrellas into exhibition areas. Additionally, flash, tripods, and selfie sticks are not allowed.  

What are the rules for taking pictures in the museum?

Photography and videography, both live-streamed and recorded, are allowed, unless otherwise indicated in the galleries. Due to copyright laws pertaining to all of the artworks on display, photographs/videos are to be used for your personal use only. If the images are used for any other purpose, such as printed or commercial use, you must contact us first.

Are dogs allowed in the museum?

Service animals are permitted inside the Palm Springs Art Museum. Service animals are working animals; pets are not allowed. Service animals must be on a leash and under their master’s control at all times.

Dogs/Animals whose sole function is to provide comfort or emotional support do not qualify as service animals under the ADA policy and are therefore not allowed inside the Palm Springs Art Museum. 

Ticket or Confirmation not received

If you did not receive a confirmation email your reservation is incomplete. If you received the confirmation email but not your tickets they most likely went to your spam or junk folder. Please look in your spam/junk folder for an email with an attachment from hello@psmuseum.org. Tickets arrive within minutes of the confirmation email. If you still haven't received your tickets, please contact us.

Exchange and Refund

Per museum policy, all admission tickets are non-refundable and can not be exchanged. For related inquiries, please call the box office at (760) 322-4490.

I do not see a future date/time on your website. How often are tickets released?

Tickets are released on a rolling basis and are typically released in 2-week increments. Please check back at the end of each week for future date/times.

Do I have to print my tickets?

No, printed tickets are not required for entry. You may also present your tickets on your smartphone to be scanned. E-tickets and Print-at-Home tickets are the same. Admission is Free on Thursday from 5 -8 pm.

Do I still need to reserve an admission ticket?

Free Thursday Nights are first come, first served, reservations are recommended for entry.

Do I have to pay admission to visit the museum stores?

You do not need to purchase admission to visit the Museum Store or Vault Design Store.
