Desert Palisades Guardhouse [ADC Salon]
ADC's first salon of the season will highlight the architecturally significant Desert Palisades Guardhouse designed by Sean Lockyer of Studio AR&D Architects. The expansive boulder-strewn Chino Canyon sets the stage for the drama that unfolds between the rugged canyon landscape and the striking cantilevered Guardhouse, serving as a gateway to an exciting new community overlooking Palm Springs.
The Salon’s late afternoon setting will not disappoint and is likely to be spectacular with changing views in the waning December light as the sun sets behind the mountain. As we gather for drinks and catered delights, guests can check out the spaces within the Guardhouse, seeing how a small pavilion in a stunning setting can create expansive “framed” views where the lines between outside and inside disappear.
The experience will be fantastic and not to be missed. Jazz Saxophonist, Jeffrey Barash, will set the mood.
Joining us will be Sean Lockyer, members of his Los Angeles and Palm Springs - based design teams, Studio AR&D Architects, and Marc Sanders of the Desert Palisades development.
Ticket holders will receive location details closer to the event date.
