How much is admission to the museum?

Palm Springs Art Museum has three locations and one membership allows for free entry to all.

For non-members, the main museum in downtown Palm Springs is $12 for adults, $10 for seniors 62+, and $5.00 for students and teachers (with I.D.). The museum is always free for children under 18, active duty military and their family, and NARM and ROAM participants.

The Architecture and Design Center charges $5.00 for admission.

The Palm Springs Art Museum in Palm Desert is always free.

When are the museums’ free days?

Palm Springs Art Museum on Museum Drive in PS has free days the second Sunday of every month and 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. every Thursday.

The Architecture and Design Center is free on Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (summer hours)

The Palm Springs Art Museum in Palm Desert is always free.

Do you have wheelchairs available and can I reserve one? 

Palm Springs Art Museum has several wheelchairs available for visitors and all galleries are accessible by wheelchair. To request a wheelchair, please inform one of our friendly VSO or admission’s associates that you will need a wheelchair and one will be delivered to you shortly.

Are backpacks permitted?

Bags larger than 11 x 14 inches and backpacks are not permitted in the museum. For safety and security of our guests, all bags or packages entering the museum are subject to search at any time. Complimentary bag check is available at the Admissions Desk.

What else is not allowed into the museum?

No food or drink (including water bottled), laser pointers, ink pens, markers, or umbrellas are allowed in exhibition areas. They can be stored at the Admissions Desk.

Can I take pictures?

Personal photography is welcomed in our galleries unless otherwise noted. Please, no flash, tripods or selfie sticks.

Do you have a Lost and Found?

If you happen to lose or misplace an item while visiting the museum, please contact our VSO department at 760-322-4854.

Is there a place where I can get something to eat?

Located on the ground level of the museum is the Persimmon Bistro. Cold-pressed juices, smoothies, soups, salads, sandwiches and paninis are just a few of the many delicious items on the menu. Click here for their summer hours.

Do I have to pay admissions to visit the museum store or eat at the restaurant?

Paid admission is not required to visit the Museum Store, Vault Design Store or Persimmon Bistro.

How do I rent space at the museum or theater?
