With generous support from the H.N. and Frances C. Berger Foundation, the museum is proud to present FREE 2nd SUNDAYS. The second Sunday of each month features a schedule of programming for all ages and interests including hands-on family activities, gallery performances, films on art and culture, docent-led spotlight talks and demonstrations of artists at work. The spring activities are centered on the annual student exhibition Blurring Boundaries: Tradition | HD, the annual Art Party, and Colors of the West: The Paintings of Birger Sandzén. Admission and all activities are free.

Con el apoyo generoso de H.N. y Frances C. Berger Foundation, el museo se enorgullece a presentar 2nd DOMINGO ES GRATIS. El segundo domingo de cada mes presentaremos un horario de programación para todos las edades é intereses, incluyendo actividades de artes manuales, presentaciones de galería, películas sobre arte y cultura, recorridos y pláticas con guías y demostraciones por artistas. Las actividades primaverales son centradas en la exposición anual de los estudiantes Desdibujando los Límites: Tradición | HD, el «Art Party» anual, y los Colores del Oeste: Las Pinturas de Birger Sandzén. La entrada y todas las actividades son gratis.

Figure It Out! • Imagine yourself as the figure in work of art! What pose will you take—standing, running, or sitting? Join us as we sketch and paint an art work with you in it.

ARTISTS IN ACTION

James and Jackie Lee Houston Atrium • 1-3 p.m.

Live Figure Drawing Class • Join artist Brian Biedul and enjoy this unique opportunity to witness how poses are set-up and timed, and how they are captured by artists in different media.

Chris Burton Jácome Flamenco Ensemble • Experience the world of the gypsies of Andalucía, Spain as you listen to traditional flamenco guitar and watch the slaps, spins, hits and stomps of the dancers.
