A World Premiere Theatrical Event in the Desert!
Love’s true meaning, social status and assumptions of sexuality all get challenged in the world-premiere of a Victorian sex comedy by internationally-renowned local playwright Tony Padilla. A socially-climbing Libertine plans to lay waste to the bedrooms and hearts of London with his faithful sidekick along for the ride. Playing on the egos and notions of the upper crust, Mr. Horn finds an easy path up the sexual ladder. But when he finds true love, the Lothario’s change of heart and libido sends the entire social world spinning. Mr. Horn completes the first cycle of Desert Ensemble Theatre Company’s New Works program wherein original works are developed through staged readings and then produced onstage the following season.

The Palm Springs Art Museum has two locations in the Coachella Valley: The flagship building is located in downtown Palm Springs and features compelling art exhibitions and a vast permanent collection, all on view in 150,000 square feet, architecturally significant building. The Palm Springs Art Museum in Palm Desert is an 8,400 square foot, Silver LEED-certified building named The Galen that presents changing exhibitions and collections. It is surrounded by the four-acre Faye Sarkowsky Sculpture Garden that features more than 10 significant sculpture works. Both museum locations are open to the public with free admission every Thursday evening from 4-8 p.m. and the Palm Springs facility offers free admission and programming the second Sunday of each month.
