The Art Museum’s permanent collection features 19th, 20th and 21st century art of the Americas, with an emphasis on contemporary California art, classic western American art, Native American art, Pre-Columbian art, Mexican art, contemporary glass art, American mid-twentieth century architecture, and American photography.
Our marvelous 433 - seat Annenberg Theater offers an eclectic calendar of performances from ballet to modern dance, opera to jazz, Broadway cabaret to classical music, comedy to drama.

The Art Museum currently has 28 galleries, five art storage vaults, two sculpture gardens, four classrooms/resource centers, a 90-seat lecture hall, the 433-seat Annenberg Theater, a Museum Store and a Café in an architecturally significant building designed by architect E. Stewart Williams at the base of Mount San Jacinto. An adjacent Administration building contains offices and a 12,000-volume Library.
