On April 9, 2010, the Palm Springs Art Museum will host the 5th annual Meet the Museum fundraising event for the LGBT community. This event happens on the Friday of White Party weekend and is the traditional kick off to the weekend's events for many of the participants. Running from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m., the event features an open bar, complimentary valet parking, food, fun music spun by LA-based DJs, and free photo booth activities, all located throughout the 150,000 square feet of the newly-renovated Palm Springs Art Museum.

The Meet the Museum party is a membership event, so to attend people must either join the museum or renew their memberships to gain the complimentary admission to the party. Membership fees start at only $50 for an individual or $85 for a dual membership. Museum membership features benefits including invitations to private receptions, discounts on art workshops, items at the museum store, Annenberg Theater tickets and much more.
