DOCENT COUNCIL
The Palm Springs Art Museum's Docent Council is made up of generous volunteers. Docents are critical to the appreciation of our museum by the viewing public. Some tour school children throughout the week and others offer public tours.
DOCENT TRAINING
The next training session will begin October 2012. Intensive training for docents to conduct school tours for all age levels begins with a three-day orientation schedule. After orientation you will follow a school tour each week and have regular scheduled meetings. You learn age-level appropriateness, discover how to make a tour happen and explore the museums wonderful collection.
Spanish-speaking applicants are especially desired! Candidates should be outgoing, interested in art and ready to learn new things.
