Drawn from the museum’s permanent collection, these images by Latinx and Latin-American artists are a photographic counterpoint to the two exhibitions that are currently on view as part of Pacific Standard Time LA:LA. The figurative and portrait-focused photographs take on a range of aesthetic approaches, but history, culture, and memory inform them all. The photographers hail from various countries and cultural perspectives, and include Christian Cravo, Flor Garduño, Luis González-Palma, Rebecca Martinez, Vik Muniz, Mario Cravo Neto, Cecilia Portal, and Josephine Sacabo.

The generous gifts of Joe and Pamela Bonino, Irwin Gershow, Dr. J. Patrick and Patricia A. Kennedy, and Mark Edward Rice comprise this selection, and Palm Springs Art Museum is grateful for their ongoing support of its photography collection.
